Message that ran too hot and caused seal damage, etc. I had a bunch of the series I and II Rx-7's. Very fun cars, needed little maintenance (no valvetrain, no timing belt)! The series III were little rockets, but those engines needed rebulding every 60k due to seal failures. Rx-8's became maintenance nightmares.

Seemed to be some design flaws after the early 90's. Not sure if its because of new people or underengineering to match the higher power loads.
